Project objective

The goal of this project was to create a board game to validate the end of the first year of Bachelor in Game Design, at the Artline Institute. I started from scratch, to create a board game from A to Z.

Pitch / Concept

The world of Meeples is in need of entertainment. To remedy this, an arena was created to host a game to entertain the population: Meeple Royal.

This game puts different Meeples in competition, who will have to earn points during an intense fight to become the Meeple King.

The concept of the game is to unmask the secret roles of your opponents in order to accomplish your objectives, and therefore earn points. You can also earn points by simply eliminating your opponents.

Creating board games is a great Game Design experience. There is no technical constraint, all the charm of the board game is based on its concept.

In addition, it is very easy to prototype early versions with little hardware.

For a Game Designer, it is also very satisfying to create their entire game by hand.
