Project origin

This mini video game is the first I ever made. I had the idea to make this game while talking with a friend. We were talking about video games, my great passion since I was a child, and he said to me: "Why don't you make your own games?". I did some research on the net, and I started this project !

Concept

The player embodies a human stuck in a far west village, in which zombies roam. On this rail shooter, the player must therefore eliminate his targets at each new stop on his way, while seeking to obtain bonuses to score as many points as possible.

Details

I created this game entirely alone. I did research to learn every aspect of creation, from design, to programming, visuals, sounds and exporting to exe. At that time, I had no skills in the field of video game development.

Here is a small summary of what I was able to create in this game :

  • Designing the game concept.

  • Balancing the different rail shooter stops (quantity of ennemies, bonus, health, ...)

  • Level Design.

  • Level Blockout and Level Art.

  • Programmation of the rail shooter system.

  • Programmation of the zombies AI.

  • Animations of the zombies.

  • UI.

  • Sounds.
